Learning Outcome 2: Demonstrate\u00a0that challenges\u00a0have been undertaken, developing\u00a0new skills<\/p>\n
I am pursuing vocals\u00a0for the last 2 years and I have taken it as my AS and I also learn it outside of school. I have taken a lot of challenges throughout this learning process. The first challenge that I faced was improving the tonal quality of the voice, at the very first I faced difficulty in improving the quality and it requires constant practice but, I was not able to dedicate enough time initially\u00a0due to hectic schedule and time management was also a big challenge\u00a0for me because with a lot of Ib assignments practicing vocals was impossible but, I made a timetable for myself where I have 30 mins for practicing vocals every day and with that I overcame the challenge\u00a0and after a year my sir observed that improvement and appreciated my efforts.<\/p>\n
Learning Outcome 1:\u00a0Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth<\/p>\n
During these two years, I have seen a drastic change in my vocal skills. I have developed confidence: I am to perform\u00a0in front of a\u00a0huge crowd without any stage fear and with that, I also identified that I have a good control over my voice. I can easily grasp the song and it doesn’t take me too long to understand the tune. My voice has become flexible in a way that as per songs I can change the pitch that is one of the biggest strengths\u00a0that I possess when it comes to vocals. One area of improvement is that I have to work upon the voice modulations to bring out the real essence of the song and tune. To some extent, I am able to modulate the voice but, when the challenging songs are supposed to be sung I need time to grasp the voice modulations. With practice, I can definitely work upon that\u00a0weakness.<\/p>\n
Learning outcome 3:\u00a0Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience<\/p>\n
As mentioned that with IB practicing\u00a0vocals every day was impossible but, I was so keen to learn vocals that I made a timetable for myself where I included practicing vocals thrice a week. Formulating a timetable for practicing vocals was a difficult task but I did it anyhow.<\/p>\n
First I made a schedule for my academics and assignments<\/p>\n
Then I made amendments in the schedule to include vocals thrice a week<\/p>\n
I implemented it for a year<\/p>\n
This is how I planned to make a balanced\u00a0timetable where I can have some time for vocals to refresh myself and with that improve my skills.<\/p>\n
