Graffiti on Anti-Bullying

what is bullying? Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children . bullying creates a negative aura around us which contributes to the school environment and makes life difficult for students and for teachers as well . bullying creates a scar on the victim’s life and that scar will never come out. bullying influences a lot of students and that is the upbringing of a negative society. Anti- bullying is one of the main focuses of our school and consequently ours. my friends and i decided to use the most creative medium arts.we decided to create graffiti across the school  and whenever someone passes through it will be uplifted and enlightened.

LO7
we considered the ethics of the course of action. we chose the words carefully and the graffiti is going to attract students in a massive number, thus we wanted to have a great impact and didn’t want to give any sort of wrong or inappropriate message. 
LO4 
the activity of making the artwork was really long. it took over one or two month period which was completed by coming early to the school thrice or four times a week and working for eight hours stretch on Saturdays . All of us had the perseverance  and had each others back in times of difficulties . the task was not so easy and which meant us to be motivated and committed to the work. It really required a lot of patience because the work was really long and it required precision which really was not my cup of tea. we also stayed back after school hours because it were a bit late from deadline and so  started staying back and somehow managed to complete the task before the life class. Commitment was not a issue for me as visual arts has always dragged my interest towards it. 
 
LO5
Working collaboratively helps the work to be done more efficiently and in much less time. Me and my friends have decided the work among us to be efficient. The work was decided uniformly and on the basis of skills possessed by us which is more effective way of working, each of us had responsibilities according to our skills to accomplish our goal like drawing, painting, finishing, border painting and more . We portrayed are extravagant skills though graffiti and also served a purpose, like I was involved in drawing the masterpiece and was also dragged to do painting throughout the journey. My friends were majorly involved in painting and we all did do everything as it made our work easier and thus were able to finish the work. 
 
LO1 
Promoting kindness and helping students was some work required a decent and informative portrayal thus we decided to influence and spread awareness through the medium of art which is colorful and has a implicit message. The strength possessed by me was drawing and sketching, my work was done with tremendous efforts and a lot of precision.  Doing work under pressure is what I required to improve. while I was drawing the graffiti , other students who were assigned to paint were getting inpatient   and were on my head that lead to a lot of disturbance during the work and that irritated me but I gradually improved my attitude towards the problem and overcome it. Another obstacle was that the artwork was taking a lot of time thus required more working men for activity to complete it before deadline. I was then required to help my friends in painting, the challenge over here is that I am not a good painter which gave me a lot of responsibilities to not mess up the graffiti however I did stick up with my work and completed my assigned role. 
The activity was really long which tested my patience, but the activity taught me that in life we have to be patient and everything can not be done according to you which gave me a really helpful life lesson. 
 
LO3 
A lot of planning was required to achieve our goal of having an impact on the society though this graffiti. The colors chosen, the quotes written on the graffiti and the shape of graffiti required us reflect and incorporate each and every perspective to have the greatest impact on the victim’s life . The graffiti on the wall was our destination and planning the journey was deciding all these things. 
The quotes looked like “You are a Hero“ “You are important” “You are beautiful”  and more. the words in the quotes are chosen carefully to serve the purpose of consoling and lifting up the people.
 we planned to use a lot of colors in the artwork because the colors create a positive aura around the art-piece and replenish the mood of joy, motivations, self- worth and helps the audience to recreate a atmosphere where they are free and where there is no scope of bullying and the shape of the graffiti, there were two types of graffiti( arms with bulky muscles and butterfly wings with a lot of patterns )
They both symbolize strength to overcome obstacles and optimism.
    
 
LO6 
bullying is a global issue. our act of kindness serves a purpose to resolve this issue by creating a warm space for the victims and stopping the people who conduct this malicious act. our school is an IB school which believes to help the students grow into a better human and make them capable enough to deal with these small issues and not let them affect the student .the graffiti serves an international purpose to help students all over world and influence people to take a step ahead to the spreading issue.
