Kalakriti is an event where schools from different regions participate i their interested category i.e: painting, drama, music, rangoli, skit, mehndi and dance. Students show their talent to audience and compete with other students from different school. It is an inter school competition which gives them glance of where they stand in their own field, prepares them for enhancing skills by getting better in their interested field and it is not just a competition it also builds our confidence by participating in it and representing their talent.

LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth.

While planning and collecting all the data and giving task or positions to the volunteers was a difficult task for us as we were not able to catch more volunteers for the event. The strength which i had to build was how to manage the event smoothly and catch up more volunteers for the event. I was able to do this with the help of my communicating skills and coordinating with the other team members which made the event go smooth and memorable. I started developing my communicating skills and made it as my strength by taking initiative in volunteering as well as coordinating with the teachers and team members.

LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.

The challenges which we came across was not having enough volunteers for the event. We made it possible by making the form available for few days and going to each class and announcing the upcoming event and how it will benefit them by adding it to their CAS activity and other purposes to take initiative in volunteering in the event. The results were pretty good we got volunteers from every grade who were responsible towards the work assigned to them.

LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.

I was able to organise and volunteer the event smoothly as i have organised many events which requires more efforts and hard work, so i was able to organise it well and by volunteering in drama component. It was not difficult at all to set up things and assign everyone their task as everyone was punctual towards the meetings and even the work was complete before the day of event.

LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.

Everyone in our group was able to demonstrate skills which helped us a lot and mostly we coordinated smoothly that we do not know when did the set up, planning and all started and when did the event ended. The event went smoothly as we all coordinated and i like helping others and listening to their point of view and making it happen whatever they try to convey to me.

The strands which i covered are Activity and Service. I volunteered and organised the event so it covers the activity part and the service which we provide was catering to their doubts, organising the event by providing them with food service and even providing them resources for the category they signed in. The overall experience was really good and i developed on my weakness which is communicating skills and i even developed in area of organising myself and the event.
