I love trivia of all sorts and I chose this to participate in this one with the intent of having some fun. It was a city-level General Knowledge quiz called the Endeavour quiz. There were 57 teams (of 2) so there were more than a 100 participants. We qualified at the top into the second round and won the competition with a huge margin. There wasn’t a lot of competition in terms of the teams that were participating, and yet this wasn’t something either of us was taking lightly. We felt and we know quite early in the competition that we would come somewhere in the top 3 at the least, and so we made efforts to go beyond that. It wasn’t a competition with any of the other teams, but with our own limitations. We strived to get each and every question right and made effort in going beyond any intellectual obstacles that we faced during the quiz. Overall, it was a great experience and the win made it all the more enjoyable.
L1 and 5
We were both able to recognise that we could answer certain types of questions with great accuracy and precision, so we mutually decided upon giving the judgement of answering the question in the hands of the one who’s more equipped to answer it. I had to identify and recognise the questions which were my strengths and work upon them. Once Khush recognised his strengths, I could reflect upon how he had more knowledge in certain areas and with the questions he answered I could also gain that knowledge to a certain extent. That also motivated me and stimulated my interest in those areas. We had to coordinate, communicate and strategize during the quiz which helped us develop synergy. We were able to take advantage of having a pair to provide input to our knowledge, ultimately helping us completely conquer the competition.
