Every year fountainhead School organises inter-school competitions for a range of sports like football, basketball etc. I was one of the member who was there in planning and helping coaches for the event. All the school teams and individual players were coming to Fountainhead school to play and I had to help my school coaches like writing certificates, being referee in matches, noting down scores for all the matches etc. Overall this was fun and I learned many things like the rules of the game. Learning Outcomes that I achieved:
LO 1: Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
One of the strengths I had was having first-hand experience. As I had been playing this sport for 2 years in my PS and I also had participated in a few competitions so I had knowledge about various things like about the rules and regulations required to be followed in a tournament.
LO 4:Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
During this event we had to come to school on a saturday and stay in school for the entire day. We had many other submissions but I still use to come on saturday. Waking up early on a holiday was a difficult thing. Writing all certificates was not an easy job we had many sports going at one time like Football, Table tennis, Basketball all the games were played at one point of time. After taking the responsibility I wanted to complete all my task perfectly so it was difficult to manage everything but we as a team did it and event was completed peacefully.
LO 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
As this was a huge event taking place where all the school teams were taking part it was easier when the task was divided amongst everyone. Few of my friends write certificates for basketball, few for football and others for other sports. We all motivated each other and learn new skills from each other and made the work easier so working in group was easier.
