| CAS project | As a part of my CAS project, I organized a Football Tournament with two of my classmates on 4th March 2018. It was a 5 v/s 5 tournament held at Turf Sports Surat. | Service session(volleyball) | As a part of my Service Session, I taught volleyball to the underprivileged children. The volleyball teaching team comprised of six students. I led the teaching team along with another student.We had six teaching sessions of 2 hrs each. We started with the basic rules of the game then moving on to service techniques and ending with competitive matches. It was a comprehensive teaching experience for me. My goal was to share my love of sports with the underprivileged children so that they could play for leisure as not many resources were required to play once they learned the sport. | S | LO3,LO5,LO4 |
| Teaching football to domestic helpers | As a part of my CAS experience, I taught football to two domestic helpers who work at my house. I conducted this activity in the lawn at my house. The helpers aged 20yrs and 25yrs used to watch me and my younger brother play football in the evenings. I often asked them to join us for the game but they declined to say that they did not know how to play. I noticed them watching us closely in order to probably learn the game. I then took them under my wings and started coaching them on alternate evenings. Football is my favorite sport and this CAS experience led me to spend more time playing it and even passing on skills to people who otherwise had no access to formal football training. | S | LO2, LO3, LO5 |
| Beach Cleaning | On our first day of grade 11, our school took us to a beach nearby. Our main aim was to clean the beach. We were given garbage bags and gloves. We were divided into groups and each group went around the beach to pick up garbage. | S | LO6, LO7 |
| Culture Day | As a part of my CAS experience, I took part in the Culture Day activity in our school. We were divided into groups and each group was given a continent. Each student from the continent had to choose a country. We had to create a text type to represent the culture of that country. | Online course on business management | I completed an online course with The University of Illinois, USA via Coursera which is a huge platform for online courses.The course which I completed is related to marketing.This course examines how digital tools, such as the Internet, smartphones, and 3D printing are revolutionizing the world of marketing by shifting the balance of power from firms to consumers. Marketing in a Digital World is one of the most popular courses on Coursera with over 150,000 Learners.This course was taught by Kevin Hartman. | CAS trip | Our CAS trip was to Savarkundla, which is a small city in the district of Amreli, Gujarat. It is well known for its Wildlife Sanctuary of Asiatic Lions.There are about 1,100 open wells in that district and about 7-15 lions fall into those wells every year.Our goal was to help save the lions.To accomplish our goal, we planned to make a cover for a well.This involved various activities like cutting, grinding, and welding.
