FOOTBALL REAL Kunj

The activity is basically a long term one in which I will play football weekly in and out of school in order to better my skills. I will also try to get selected for the school teams in which I will also go to many competitions; some of which are out of India. In doing this I wish to become a better football and play some more football in my college.

I wanted to:

  • Hit a killer free kick
  • get better at penalties
  • Increase my stamina

LO5:

I had to demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively. Since we were going to play in a team, one of the most important things in football is to know the movements of your teammates. It was quite easy for me to work with others because they have been my teammates for about 4 years and we are basically a large family.  But then again, working with people is one of my strong points.

Sometimes we get people who aren’t the best at one aspect of the game, but we try to ring out the best in the players. We don’t like to expose them. Working together is very important to get things done quickly,  sometimes I play as a captain the PS slots and that shows some degree of leadership.

LO4:

I had to show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences. Playing football almost 3-4 times a week is going to get a bit gruelling in my opinion and that is where the perseverance comes through. You must keep playing and going through the pain; not around it.

The most difficult part of this activity was that your body hurts after some time and that is a problem I face regularly. Things are easy to commit to if they are things that I want to commit to. If they aren’t then it will take some time but invest some time and effort into me and i’ll be ready for anything.

LO1:

I had to identify my own strengths and develop areas for growth. As I said in the beginning of this document I played football to improve my skills of the game. I want to become a better player in almost every aspect. Run faster, kick with efficiency and all the others. To know your own strengths and weaknesses is a great advantage. This is true because if you know what you need to improve, then the mind automatically creates a blueprint, or a plan, in order to make that thing happen. I needed to get more stamina because if I get tired and don’t press the opposition they might even go on and score; all because of the one mistake I made.
