The above was basically what I and my team had planned for the workshop. Successfully we were able to do the same.

Throughout the process, I learned the following things:-

L1 – Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth,

Knowing that my strength in this particular field was prominent I took the liberty of making the presentations for the workshop. With the setting of the syllabus and making the study guides. I took care of everything. So that I could use my strengths at the right place. My weakness as I know it was listening to others so this time as I could enhance it I delegated work to my fellow teammates that made my hellbent on listening to them at times which helps we overcome my weakness slowly.

L2 – Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken developing new skills,

Basically, the challenge in this cas activity was letting the potential students know whats happening and how it could benefit from the same. With the FSM even coming up we wanted our schools’ students to excel at a whole, therefore, the epiphany of organizing this workshop. We attempted to overcome the challenge by emailing all of these students and posting the details on our school blog. To an extent we succeeded we got more students than we had anticipated.

L5-. Demonstrate skills and benefits of working collaboratively,

We were four students and one teacher who were teamed up to conduct FSMUN and this workshop. Honestly, I think we did an amazing job as in the start we did have some hiccups but we started understanding each other and today I can proudly say that working with them was a privilege. Something to learn is that not everyone is perfect and honestly with these events, I understood that one could become perfect but only if they are ready to accept their mistakes. Many mistakes happened and I would have never known if my team members wouldn’t have pointed out. I understood that sometimes more minds extend to the duration of taking a decision but the success rate of that decision is much higher.

L6-engagement with issues of global significance,

Today globally MUNs have evolved but in India specifically Surat students do not understand the main crux of these events. Through this workshop I and my team tried to influence some students and hope to bring a change in the MUN industry which is slowing becoming about money, our goal was to make the students understand the greater good of this event and display the significane of it in their day to day life.
