CAS Personal Profile

Hey there

My name is Shatrunjaya, and I am 17 years old and I am in my second year of IBDP. I believe that I am talented in music and photography, which has helped me through my CAS experience.  I have improved in my talents at a visible rate by experiencing CAS.

My pleasures in life include reading different cultural and genre books and learn about different cultures. Since young, I have been intrigued by the other cultures in the world and I try to understand them whenever I travel or I read.

It is true when they say that different cultures nurture different views. I have been to many places and witnessed this statement come true. And I am a hardcore fan of the entertainment industry, I like watching all types of tv shows and movies even if I don’t understand the language because the cultural beauty in them piques my curiosity about the culture.

Talking about me, I am a little introvert and not a big social person, and my communications skills are not great, and I tend to improve on communication skills.

My outlook on life

I strongly believe that life has the same shares of ups and downs, and a balance is important in life. So when we are stuck in our rooms trying to focus for the submissions or tests, CAS gives us a chance to procrastinate and have a little fun in IBDP. Also with the fun provided, the protocols of CAS helps us explore new activities and makes us come out of our comfort zone to find out who we are.

Having said that, I would like to find the balance of enjoyment and curriculum in my life. My laziness has increased highly after few months in DP while sitting comfortably at home and studying. So I would like to become more active and experience the world after the end of IB.

Worldwide issues like pollution concern me because the issue can be simply solved to a certain extent is determined. But change is something which doesn’t go well with human nature. Humans tend to stay in their habitual environment rather than change themselves in normal circumstances. So the evolution of humans is slow but is still visible progress.

Even though IBDP is coming to an end, learning is a universal method and continues for the rest of our lives. I would like to go out and explore the cultures and religions that intrigues me and know more about them and the mythologies followed.

There are many things that I haven’t tried. It can either be skydiving or other adventurous activities that I would like to try in the future (If I am not scared then.) And I would like to travel the most known places in the world once, to fulfill my curiosity.
