As much as love interacting with kids, I even enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge with them. Therefore, when I was given the opportunity to take this session for Grade 2 where I’ll be talking on the topic of ‘ Humans make choices that can have an impact on living beings.’, I took it along with another classmate, Krushna Balar. Below is the mail we received for the invitation.

During conducting this session, I noticed that even though I am good at public speaking, I need to learn how to keep the audience interested in what I am speaking and therefore I decided that on the second day, I’ll add more pictures and videos to the presentation. Therefore, the second session was much better than the first.

I covered multiple learning outcomes during this activity, the first one being ‘ Identify own strengths and develop for growth.’ as I identified that I am good at public speaking and I need to improve on my creativity, second one being ‘Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.’ as I took up the challenge of conducting this session and developing public speaking skills in the process and the third and the last one being ‘ Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance.’ as I did something for the lions in one of my previous trips and shared that knowledge with small kids trying to influence them.

Therefore, I loved speaking to the students of Grade 2 and gaining some new knowledge myself. I am glad I got invited. Thank you.
